Sifu Alan Wisse
Sifu Alan is a 3rd generation instructor of Kung Fu San Soo. He began his training under Master Paul H Borisoff, a 2nd generation instructor, at his Los Angeles, California studio in March 1987. Sifu Alan received his 1st degree black belt in November 1997 and his 2nd degree black in April 2001. Sifu Alan is a master's level instructor with 10+ years of experience. His has been teaching in Southern Oregon since July 2000.
Sifu Alan promotes a teaching environment that is supportive and light hearted. He also emphasizes the importance of agility, balance and confidence. In addition, he teaches hand-to-hand street defense, use of weapons, weapons disarming, multiple opponent attacks, and Chinese yoga strengthening drills. Sifu Alan also offers personal protection training seminars, corporate security training, celebrity bodyguard training, and fight choreography for cinema and the gaming industry.
Sifu Alan has also studied other disciplines. His other martial arts studied are Judo, Korean Kuk Sool Won, and Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan. In true fashion of a "traditional Chinese martial artist," he is also a "healer of the community." He has studied Ayurvedic and Chinese herbs and is a master's level herbalist.
